Vinexpo 2011, Bordeaux
Vinexpo, the world’s largest wine & spirits exhibition, has again demonstrated the resilience of the drinks industry, both by its record attendance and the ever growing diversity of its participants.
The ‘emerging’ markets of China, Russia and Brazil seemed to be particularly well represented this year, both in terms of exhibitors and the number of visitors.
Indeed, we understand that nearly 3000 visitors from China were recorded, as well as a sizeable contingent from Russia !
Whether you are searching for sake, vodka, beer or wine, this is THE international drinks show. The increased interest from developing countries noted above clearly reflects the rising numbers of affluent, brand-aware consumers within those societies – a trend which will continue strongly in future years.
